WPW Invests in New Powder Coating Technology to Deliver Even Better Service

Welded Presswork Limited is proud to announce a major investment in its powder coating facilities, further strengthening our commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. We’ve recently installed a brand-new powder coating plant and completed a significant upgrade to our existing larger facility both designed to improve performance, sustainability, and the overall service we provide to our customers.

A State-of-the-Art New Plant

Our newly installed powder coating plant is equipped with in-line degreaser sprays, in-line phosphate sprays, and a built-in curing oven. This cutting-edge system allows components to move smoothly through each stage of the coating process from surface preparation to curing in one continuous flow.

The in-line degreasing and phosphating stages ensure every surface is perfectly prepared for coating, improving adhesion, durability, and corrosion resistance. With the integrated oven completing the process, the result is a consistently high-quality finish, every time.

This new facility replaces our previous, smaller powder coating line, which had served us well for many years but had reached the end of its working life. The upgrade represents a big leap forward for WPW increasing our capacity, improving turnaround times, and ensuring we can handle a wider range of customer requirements more efficiently than ever before.

Upgrading for a Greener Future

Alongside the new plant, we’ve also upgraded our second, larger powder coating line with a new electric oven, replacing the older, less efficient gas-fired version. The electric oven provides more accurate temperature control, faster curing times, and a more energy-efficient operation.

This move supports WPW’s ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact and operating more sustainably all while maintaining the highest possible standards of finish and performance.
